Late Brig V P Dhand, VSM

He was an alumnus of ‘C’ batch, AFMC, a rare combination of brain and brawn. From 1964 to 1969, he set various weight lifting records at college and university levels. He went on to win Mr. Pune, Mr. Bombay and Mr. Maharashtra and the coveted Mr. India title in 1971 & 1973. He did an advance course in Internal Medicine at AFMC from 1973-75. He retired from service on 28 Dec 2002. He was an epitome of grit and determination, having achieved so much in spite of all adversaries. May he rest in peace, his spirit forever alive in the memories he has left behind.
